The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the House and its counterpart in the Senate, the Protect IP Act (PIPA), are slated for consideration in both chambers this month, although supporters in Congress appear to be taking a step back from this controversial legislation.  Portrayed as a means of protecting intellectual content on the Internet from piracy, opponents believe it is nothing less than censorship.  In protest, websites are blacking out on Wednesday, putting up "only a simple message of protest on a black background."  Get more information about this contentious legislation at:  redtape.msnbc.msn.com/_news/2012/01/13/10151672-sopa-opponents-gaining-momentum-wikipedia-to-join-blackout
